In the organizational environment, the application of Egans model has to be based on specific criteria and terms. In this context, it has been supported by Smith et al. (2002, 197) that organizations currently operate with a facade of rationality, ignoring emotional reality while the leverage for such change lies in on the job(p) at team/group level meetings, changing the quality of interactions to enhance authenticity and create emotional openness (Smith et al., 2002, 197).
